What It takes to become a School Leader

A four-module introduction is available to you free via a CSUH on-line program called Blackboard. This on-line course, developed by the Department of Educational Leadership, will help you explore

·         What school leaders do

·         Options for obtaining a California Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (often referred to as Tier I)

·         Information about Administrative Services Credential Programs (Tier I) at CSU Hayward including the application process

The course is free and available via the steps below. You can also earn one Continuing Education Unit (10 hrs) by registering for the course and paying a fee of $44 (first enter the class via the directions below then follow the links to register).

Directions for Accessing This course—PRINT FOR FUTURE USE

1. Go to Blackboard at http://bb1.csuhayward.edu
2. Click on "Guest Access to Courses" tab on the top of the screen
3. Click on "Browse Course Catalog:" link in the right column on the screen.
4. Enter "EXSP8034" in the "search for a course" box—course title: What It takes to become a School Leader
5. Click "go" directly to the right of the box
6. When the course is displayed, click on the "Preview" button to the right of the course name.
