PIONEER WOMEN FINISH 11TH AT GOLFMART LADY OTTER INVITATIONAL
SEASIDE, Calif. - The Pioneer women's golf team wrapped up the 2009 fall season on Tuesday, finishing 11th at the Golfmart Lady Otter Invitational at Bayonet Golf Club. Cal State East Bay's Micalann Cowan paced the Pioneers, tying for 44th overall and shooting a 14-over 87 on both days of the tournament. Catrina Williams and Alicia Haness took 56th and 57th, respectively, to round out East Bay's top three. Williams recorded the Pioneers' best round of the event on Tuesday, posting a 13-over-86 at the par-73 course. Andrea Reilly finished 60th with a two-day total of 200, while Katie Devine finished 62nd. As a team, the Pioneers shot a combined 749 (+165) during the event that saw clear skies but gusting winds. Cal Baptist claimed the tournament title with Adriana Niclotti and Nathalie Silva finishing 1-2 for the Lancers.

CAL STATE EAST BAY MEN'S GOLF TEAM PLACES 13TH IN SONOMA STATE INVITATIONAL
The Pioneer men's golf team finished 13th in the Sonoma State Invitational on October 18-20. Jordan Cimino led all Cal State East Bay golfers with a 40th place finish. Cimino shot a two-round score of 7-over-151. Wes Davis shot 11-over-155 to finish tied for 56th place. Sean Callahan recorded a two-round score of 12-over-156 to finish tied for 58th place while Garrett Baxley and Justin Tambunting both shot 14-over-158 finishing in a tie for 63rd place.

PIONEER WOMEN'S GOLF TEAM FINISHES NINTH IN SONOMA STATE INVITATIONAL
Cal State East Bay women's golf team placed 9th in the Sonoma State Invitational on October 18-20. Micalann Cowan finished 36th with a two-round score of 28-over-172 to lead all Cal State East Bay women golfers. Alicia Haness and Katie Devine finished tied for 41st place with scores of 42-over-186. Catrina Williams and Andrea Reilly finished 43rd and 44th respectively in the two-day Invitational.

PIONEER MEN'S GOLF TEAM FINISHES 11TH IN INTERWEST CHICO STATE WILDCAT CLASSIC
The Pioneer men's golf placed 11th in the Chico State Wildcat Classic in October 12-13. Garrett Baxley finished 26th with a two-round score of 7-over-151 to lead the Pioneers. Wes Davis shot a two-round score of 13-over-157 to finish in a 50th place tie. Jordan Cimino recorded a two-round score of 159 to place in a 54th place tie while Sean Callahan and Andrew Walters each shot 164 to finish in a tie for 62nd place.

PIONEER MEN'S GOLF TEAM OPENS 2009 FALL SEASON WITH 10TH PLACE FINISH IN ST. MARTIN'S INVITATIONAL
The Pioneers opened the 2009 Fall season with a 10th place finish in the St. Martin's Invitational on September 25-26. Cal State East Bay compiled a two-round score of 31-over-611. JORDAN CIMINO shot a two round 4-over-148 to finish in a 13th place tie. WES DAVIS finished in a 37th place tie with a two-round score of 8-over-152. ANDREW WALTERS and GARRETT BAXLEY each shot a 13-over-157 to finish in a 56th place tie.

CAL STATE EAST BAY WOMEN'S GOLF TEAM FINISHES 16TH IN GRAND CANYON WOMEN'S FALL INVITATIONAL
The Pioneer women's golf team finished 16th in the Grand Canyon Women's Fall Invitational to open the 2009 campaign. MICALANN COWAN led the Pioneers with a 30-over-174 to finish in a 73rd place tie. CATRINA WILLIAMS placed 76th with a 31-over-175. ANDREA REILLY and ALICIA HANESS finished 81st and 82nd respectively.
