Amy Gerace enters her eighth year as head coach of the Cal State East Bay women's soccer team. The 2007 Pioneers finished 11-7-1, their second consecutive winning season. Under Gerace, the Pioneers finished the 2006 campaign at 12-5-1 their best showing since 1989. Four Pioneer defeats were by one goal. The Pioneers outscored their opponents by a 36-19 margin. The 2005 Pioneers finished 7-5-1 against Division III competition and were 3-1 versus ranked West Region institutions. During the 2004 season, CSUEB finished with a record of 7-7-4. The Pioneers won three out of their last four matches to conclude the season including victories over NCAA III West Region powers U.C. Santa Cruz and Cal Lutheran. Cal State East Bay concluded the 2004 campaign with a 2-1 victory over NCAA I North Dakota State. Gerace led the 2002 Pioneers to a 10-8-1, their best showing in 14 years. The Pioneers finished the 2001 season with a 4-12-1 record.
From 1999-2000, Gerace was an assistant coach at Chabot College. She also served as Chabot's Athletic Coordinator for one year. Gerace coached for five years from 1996-2000 at Liberty High School. During this time, Liberty High School made their first post- season appearance, making it to the North Coast Quarterfinals.
Gerace played two years at Cal State East Bay (1996-97) where she was named All Nor Cal Athletic Conference her junior season. She played two years at Diablo Valley College and was an All Conference performer for Liberty High School.
A Dublin resident, Gerace received her B.S. in Marketing and her M.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State East Bay.
