Theory, content, and materials of dual-language acquisition and development. Strategies for primary language instruction in various areas to provide equal access to the core curriculum. Candidate will complete all course objectives In English and in Spanish.

Classroom Implications of the Culture of the Latino Child (3)
Focus on major historical experiences of the various Latino groups in the United States, covering the Colombian period, the Conquest, colonial period, wars of independence, and contemporary life in the U.S. Emphasis on cultural commonalties, demographics, immigration, educational patterns, and general relationships among Latinos and the majority culture. Candidate will complete all course objectives In English and in Spanish.
Spanish language exit examination
Field Experience: One placement in a bilingual setting.
