The Preliminary Credential is awarded upon successful completion of a CCTC-approved credential preparation program. The route to the Professional Clear credential is predicated on whether one holds a Ryan Preliminary or an SB 2042 Preliminary and if one was prepared In California or out-of-state/country. So as not to confuse or mislead anyone, we are not printing the requirements here. Suffice to say,

CSUEB does have CCTC-approved Ryan and CCTC-approved SB 2042 "Fifth Year Programs".

You should telephone the CSUEB Credentials Service Center, 510-885-2272, for an evaluation; they will then refer to you an Advisor who will guide you through the intricacies of obtaining the Professional Clear credential. Please also refer to the CCTC web site.
