Information for Teachers Working on Emergency Permits:
How to renew your emergency permit and have your CL-469 signed.
Emergency permits are only available at the request of an employer, a
school district. Applicants may not apply for the emergency permit directly
to the Commission or through a college or university.
You must contact a school district regarding employment information.
For further information on the requirements for the initial issuance of the emergency
permit, contact the Commission of Teacher Credentialing at (888) 921-2682 or at
http://www.ctc.ca.gov.
Our services are for renewal of emergency permits only, and are only
available if all proper documentation is submitted at the time of application.
Next day service: If you submit your application by 1:00 pm, your
signed CL-469 and evaluation will be ready for you to pick up by 5:00 pm the
following weekday. Applications submitted after the 1:00 pm deadline will
be ready for pick up by 5:00 pm two workdays after application date.
EMERGENCY PERMIT RENEWAL INFORMATION
The following documentation is required if the CSU East Bay Credential
Student Service Center is to sign your CL-469 to renew your emergency permit.
- A completed Application for Emergency
Permit Renewal Services form and Fee
Receipt.
- Copy of the emergency permit you are renewing.
Copies of transcripts of all college coursework (All grades must be posted
at the time of renewal)
- Subject Matter Competency worksheet from
the appropriate department showing courses required for completion of the
subject matter program. -OR -
- Proof of completion of applicable subject
matter competency exams.
- Supporting verification showing enrollment
in or application to a CSU East Bay credential program if applicable.
- Appropriate fee.
FEES
$15.00 for three (3) day service
$ 25.00 for next day service
Check or money orders only. We cannot accept cash.
